He had many special friends including Prospect Baptist Church in Walland TN, where he was a devoted Deacon. He is a Veteran of the U.S. Army with an honorable discharge after 3 years of service.

Funeral service 7:30 PM Monday in the West Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home with the Rev. Clarence Evans and Rev. Ernest Condee officiating. Family and friends will meet 10:30 AM Tuesday in Millican Grove Cemetery for graveside and interment. The family will receive friends 5:30-7:30 PM Monday at Atchley Funeral Home Sevierville.
