(January 31, 1941 - November 18, 2011) Mary Lee Heaton McCarter, age 70, of Maryville, passed away Friday, November 18, 2011, at Blount Memorial Hospital. She was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin John McCarter; parents, Roe and Clara Gregory Heaton; brother, Don Heaton; nephews, Rick Haven and David Rausch; and niece, Callandra Rausch. She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Stanley and Charlotte Heaton of Louisville, KY; sisters and brothers-in-law, Alma and Jim Haven and Carol and Frank Curtis all of Maryville; special friend, Charlie Trentham; step-son and wife, Leander and Dena McCarter; step-daughter and husband, Melinda and Jim Delaney; grandchildren, Tommy and Leah Delaney, Travis and Michelle McCarter, Brady McCarter, and Mason John McCarter; special aunt, Polly Gregory; nephews and wives, Jimmy and Karen Haven, Mike and Robin Heaton, and Warren and Melissa Heaton; nieces and husband, Tina Heaton and Connie and Justin Nally; and several great nieces and nephews. Special thanks to her cousins and special friends who gave her so much love and support, the Five East nurses and staff at Blount Memorial Hospital, Fairpark Healthcare, Morningview Transitional Care, and Pamela Cummings - we will always remember your love and hugs each day. Family and friends will gather 2:00 PM Sunday, November 20, 2011, at Nelson Chapel Cemetery for the graveside service and interment, Rev. Jimmy Runion and Rev. Allen Burchfield officiating.
