  [S24] The Newport Plain Talk, (http://www.newportplaintalk.com), 14 Jan 2003. Judy Ann Lane, 50, of Newport, went to be with her Lord Tuesday, January 14, 2003 at Baptist Hospital of Cocke County. She was a homemaker and a member of Cosby Missionary Baptist Church. Her parents, Doyle and Lona (Campbell) Bryant, and brother, Ronald Bryant, preceded her in death. She is survived by her husband of 33 years, Charles Roger Lane; sons: Shaun Lane, of Newport; Jeffery Lane, of North Carolina; daughter, April Lane, of Newport; sisters: Marlene York, of Newport; EmmaLou Valentine and her husband, Lacy, of Cosby; Marilyn Moss, of North Carolina; and Karen Hall and her husband, David, of Newport; brother, Mike Bryant, of Newport; and special friends, Beulah and Estle Wilson, of Cosby. Mrs. Lane will also be missed by several nieces and nephews and a host of other friends. Funeral service will be Friday, January 17, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. at Brown Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Cleo Williamson officiating. Interment will follow at Bryant Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday evening, January 16, 2003 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home. Brown Funeral Home has been honored to provide the final arrangements for Mrs. Judy Ann Lane.
