Thomas Maryl Byrd, 76, of Hurricane, WV, formerly of Kodak, TN, passed away Tuesday, May 26, 2009 at CAMC Teays Valley Hospital, Hurricane. Maryl was retired from Swaggerty Sausage, Kodak, TN. He was a member of Beech Springs Baptist Church, Kodak. He was preceded in death by his wife, Charlotte Ann Byrd; and daughter, Jennifer Louise Byrd. He is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Lorinda and Paul Thompson of Hurricane, Glenda Kay and Scott Breeden of Kodak, TN., Gloria Faye Hurst of Seymour, TN.; and son and daughter-in-law, Thomas Francis "Tommy" and Myra Byrd of Pigeon Forge, TN. Also surviving are his 8 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 3:00 pm Sunday, May 31, 2009 at Beech Springs Baptist Church, Kodak, TN., with the Rev Charles Harkleroad officiating. Burial will follow.
