Robert French Burchfiel, age 75 of Sevierville, passed away Wednesday, September 6, 2006. He was a member of Sims Chapel Baptist Church and an avid Bible reader. A U.S. Army veteran, he was a member of American Legion Post 104. After retiring from Wagner Industries, he enjoyed operating B & M Market on Sims Road. He and his wife Mary also enjoyed the traveling that accompanied their antiquing hobby.
He was preceded in death by his wife Mary Faye Burchfiel, father and mother Ernest and Ethel Burchfiel, Sister and brother-in-law Gladys and Raymond Patterson, and sister-in-law Alice Burchfiel.

Daughter: Nancy Chance and husband Carroll
Granddaughter: Jessica Layman and husband Michael

Funeral service 7:30 PM Thursday in the East Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home with Rev. Hudson Chesteen and Rev. Earl Lane officiating. Interment 2 PM Friday in Allen Cemetery with military honors provided by American Legion Post #104. The family will receive friends 5-7:30 PM Thursday at Atchley Funeral Home, Sevierville.
