Mark Bobbitt Atwater, 52, died at home Friday March 28, 2008, following a battle with cancer. Mr. Atwater was a member of the Episcopal Church of the Ascension, a graduate of Bearden High School and the University of Tennessee. He was employed at Blue Green Resorts in Sevierville. Mark was an avid golfer who enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Survivors include his wife Linda Atwater; daughter Courtney Paige Atwater and Taylin Jade Atwater of Sevierville; mother Jewell Carroll and her husband Michael Carrol; sisters and brothers-in-law Cynthia and Paul Googe of Knoxville, Jennifer and Karl Kaul of Nashville, and Rebecca and Jim Seal of Knoxville; several nieces and nephews. Family and friends met Wednesday at Lynnhurst Cemetery for a 1 p.m. graveside service with the Rev. Dr. Howard J. Hess officiating. The family received friends Tuesday at Rose Mortuary Mann Heritage Chapel.

ATWATER, MARK BOBBITT - age 52, died at home Friday March 28, 2008 following a battle with cancer. He was preceded in death by his father, Hal B. Atwater and grandmother Alma J. Suffridge. Mark was an avid golfer who enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Linda Atwater; daughters, Courtney Paige Atwater and Taylin Jade Atwater of Sevierville; mother, Jewell Carroll and her husband Michael Carroll; and sisters and brothers-in-law, Cynthia and Paul Googe of Knoxville, Jennifer and Karl Kaul of Nashville, and Rebecca and Jim Seal of Knoxville; several nieces and nephews. Family and friends will meet Wednesday at the Adair Dr. entrance to Lynnhurst Cemetery for a 1:00 p.m. graveside service with Rev. Dr. Howard J. Hess officiating.
