Grooms and husband Edward J. Grooms of Cosby, Peggy W. Lane and husband Johnny R. Lane of Newport; grandchildren, Derek Grooms, David and Tony Lane; great-grandchildren, Rylee Grooms, Chelsea and Jordan Lane, Shaina and Holly Lane; sisters, Lela Bible of Chattanooga, Trula Williams and husband Delmar Williams of Land 'O Lakes, Fla.; sisters-in-law, Blanche Walters of Sevierville, Gladys Ownby of Sevierville, Vege Owenby of Newport and several nieces and nephews.Funeral services were held at 8 p.m. Monday at Manes Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ben Whitted officiating. Burial was Tuesday at Walters-Large Cemetery.
