She was an animal lover, especially her cats. She was preceded in death by her parents, Otha M. and Gladys Ownby. She is survived by her sister, Charlotte Oakley and niece, Lisa Oakley, as well as extended family and friends. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Young Williams Animal Center, 3201 Division Street, Knoxville, TN 37919, or to your favorite charity. Family and friends will meet 2 PM Saturday in Smoky Mountain Memory Gardens for graveside service and interment with Rev. Ben Whitted officiating.
