Jennifer Rains Whitaker, Age 53, of Grovetown, Georgia, went home to be with her Lord and Savior at 11:15 pm on Saturday March 17th, 2012. She is preceded in death by her grandmothers, Betty Webb and Treva Kerr; sisters, Misty Shultz and Gena Rains; and granddaughter, Lillyana Faith Cunningham.
She is survived by her husband and best friend, Randy Whitaker of Grovetown, Georgia; her daughters and sons-in-law, Christy and Alan Ray Bozeman of Appling, Georgia and Leslie and Chris Cunningham of Martinez, Georgia; grandchildren, Ariel and Kaitlyn Bozeman of Appling, GA and Ivory, Austin, Gage Lane of Martinez, GA and Sarah, Landon and Leila Cunningham also of Martinez. Jennifer was the beloved daughter of David and Geraldine Shultz of Seymour, TN and Carl and Judy Rains of Athens, TN. She was the adored sister of Deanna Williams of Knoxville, TN. Her special aunt was Hazel Richardson of Asheville, NC and Cousin Rhonda Shoffeitt, also of Asheville. She has a host of nieces and nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends throughout the states of TN, GA, and NC who will miss her dearly.
The family will receive friends 4-6 pm Wednesday, March 21st with her homecoming celebration to follow at 6 pm in the Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home, Seymour.
