Boyd Adam Rogers, age 89, of Seymour, passed away Thursday, November 18, 2010, surrounded by his family. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Rogers; son, William (Buddy) Rogers; daughter, Kathy Helton. Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Lee R. and Tonda Rogers; son, Reid Rogers; daughter and son-in-law, Erma Sue and Gene Moriarty; daughter, Mary Garner; daughter and son-in-law, Remia Jean and Leon Hicks; many grandchildren; brother, Johnny Rogers; sisters, Ann Rankin and Gertrude Flanagan; best friend, Wesley Morgan; special thanks to his granddaughters who were his caretakers, Darcy and Ashley. Funeral service will be 7 p.m. Saturday, November 20, 2010, in the Dotson Wildwood Chapel with the Rev. Mike Seagle officiating. Interment will be 2 p.m. Sunday, November 21, 2010, at Ellejoy Cemetery in Seymour. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 p.m. Saturday at Dotson Funeral Home.
