Charles Frank Fellars, 64, of Skyview Drive, Greeneville, died unexpectedly Monday, August 17, 2009, at his home.
He retired from Huf and was a longtime employee of Hurd Lock. He was an avid golfer and member of Link Hills Country Club and E. T. S. G. A.
The family said the highlights of his of his days were spent sharing time with the love his life "Sandra" and spending as much time as he could with Nikki and "Little Charlie."
Survivors include his loving daughter: Nikki Fellars; a very special grandson: Charlie Fellars Strange; his fiancé: Sandra Cooter; one stepson: Dr. Allen Atchley; one brother and sister-in-law: Ralph and Sharon Fellars of Johnson City; two great-aunts: Ruth Ann Blevins of Chuckey and Betty Gorrell of Newport; one niece and her husband: Casey and Scott LaVoie of Johnson City.
He was a son of the late Dana and Donna Fellars.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday in the Doughty-Stevens Chapel. The Rev. Jamie Lively will officiate. Interment will follow in Liberty Cemetery.
The family received friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Doughty-Stevens Funeral Home.
Active pallbearers will be Pat Dickey, Stan Puckett, Buddy Yonz, Fred Grigsby, Tim Mitchell, Johnny Hope, Don Payne, and Jerry Casteel.
Honorary pallbearers will be Ray Tankersly, the Saturday Golfers at Link Hills, Bob Ward, Bob Reid, Sharon Duncan, Vickie Moyer, and Shawn Woedl.
