Joe Wallace Mullins, age 80 of Sevierville, died Sunday, December 3, 2000. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Sevierville, a member of the American Legion, a former Assistant Chief of the Sevier County Volunteer Fire Department and a past member of the Sevierville Jaycees.
Mr. Mullins was a veteran of World War II having served in Central Europe. Citations and medals he received were the WWII victory medal, good conduct medal, American Theater ribbon, European African Middle Eastern Theater ribbon with one bronze service star. Mr. Mullins was owner and operator of Mullins’ Mountain View Service Center on the Parkway in Sevierville for 42 years.

Funeral service 7 PM Tuesday in the West Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home. Rev. Clyde Maples officiating and Eulogy by James Atchley. Entombment 11 AM Wednesday in the Chapel Mausoleum of Smoky Mountain Memory Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Barry Wilson, Bobby Holt, Billy Holt, Randy Davis, David Frost, Rick Bohanan, Junior Manning. Honorary pallbearers will be Bob Ogle, Rev. James D. Allen, Fred Wilson, Jack Denton, Jack Romines, Ken Loveday, Joe McMahan, Larry Castle, Jim Franklin, Johnny Sims.
The family will receive friends 5-7 PM Tuesday at Atchley Funeral Home, Sevierville.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to First Baptist Church TV Ministry or the “Christmas Store” at First Baptist Church, 317 Parkway, Sevierville, TN, 37862.
