Sandie Maples Longmire, age 47, of Sevierville, our beautiful butterfly flew home to celebrate her Heavenly birth on Saturday, September 30, 2017. She was a graduate of Tennessee Wesleyan University. She worked for Dollywood, formerly Silver Dollar City, for 32 years and was diligent in her role as Project Coordinator and Expense Analyst. She truly loved all of her Dollywood Family. She was a strong supporter of Veterans Affairs and volunteered her help and expertise to both local and state Disabled American Veterans Chapters. She was a longtime member of the DAVA Women’s Auxiliary, where she served as Secretary. Sandie had a vivacious personality and a tenacity for life. She enjoyed attending the races at Bristol with her sister and brother. Sandie loved traveling and many favorite memories were made with her family while cruising blue ocean waters. She had a passion for shopping and her shoe collection can attest to her skill. Sandie’s love for her family was without measure. She was a dedicated wife, a loving mother, and an adoring “Gamma”.
