Donald Ray Tallent Sr., age 75 of Maple Hill Road Loudon, went to be with Jesus on Tuesday, September 16, 2014 at home surrounded by his family. Ray was of the Baptist faith and a retired employee of Pond Creek Milling Company. Preceded in death by his wife, James Anna Tallent, parents Luther Dallas and Mary Violet Tallent, brother Dallas Tallent and sister Alpha Elizabeth Tallent. Survivors include children and spouses, Deborah and Richard McDaniel Madisonville, Donald Ray Tallent Jr., Ronnie and Rhonda Tallent, Jeff and Angie Tallent of Loudon, Vickie Simpson of Lenoir City, Stacey and Tim Manis of Loudon, Mark and Kristie Tallent of Vonore, Marty and Amber Tallent of Athens. Grandchildren and spouses, Kyle Tallent, Kasey and Dustin Lyles, Lakin and Gabe Hampton, Jeron Tallent, Ian Tallent, Chase Simpson, Kelly Tallent, Cody Manis, Shawn McDaniel, Darian McDaniel, Dallas Tallent, Taylor Tallent, Crystal Jenkins and Hailie Walters. Great Granddaughter Kaylee Jenkins. Sister, Barbara Wilhoite; Brothers and spouses Robert Tallent, Gary and Virginia Tallent, Stevie Tallent, Burl and Dorthy Tallent, David and Diane Tallent all of Sevierville; several nieces and nephews. Special companion and devoted pet, Snuffy. Funeral service will be 7:00 pm Friday at Loudon Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Bill White and Pastor Jon Henson officiating. Interment 10:00 am Saturday at Loudon County Memorial Gardens. Visitation 4:00 - 7:00 pm Friday at Loudon Funeral Home.
