She was originally from Jake’s Creek in Elkmont, TN. She was a devout Christian who loved her Lord with all her heart. For many years she was a Sunday school “beginners” class teacher at Roaring Fork Baptist Church. After moving to Pigeon Forge, she was a choir leader and teacher at Conner Heights Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lewis Wesley “West” and Sally Armintha “Mintha” Ownby Maples; brothers, Ernest Ownby, Lewis and Carl Maples; sister and brother-in-law, Hugh and Ella Mae Metcalf. Survivors include her daughter, Marylee Carver; son, Phillip Bull and wife Judy; precious grandsons, Chris Bull and wife Cassie, Greg Bull and wife Kristen; beloved great grandsons, Gage and Caden Bull; sister, Hettie Ball and her family; sister-in-law, Evelene Maples; numerous nieces and nephews; beloved caregivers, Linda Shrader and Dott and Carolyn Ball; and many beloved friends and extended family. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to the staff and friends at Sevier County Health Care Center. Funeral service 7 PM Tuesday in the West Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home with Rev.
