Alvin Clyde Abbott, age 82 of Sevierville, passed away Sunday January 21, 2018.

He retired from Bush Brothers after 36 years of service. He enjoyed farming and loved spending time in Daytona Beach, Florida.

Mr. Abbott was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Sarah Abbott; sister Beulah Abbott; and infant son Glenn Abbott.

Survivors include his wife Anna Mae Abbott; children Lynn (Bonnie) Abbott, Wayne (Elaine) Abbott; step-children Jeff Fox, Janet (Dennis) Wilson, Jaynene (Doug) Stainbrook; grandchildren Sarah, Amber, David and John Abbott; several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; brother-in-law John (Jeanette) Francis.

The family will receive friends 11 AM – 1 PM Thursday with funeral service to follow at 1 PM in the Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home. Pastor John Clark and Rev. Jordon Fox will officiate. Interment will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery. Online condolences may be made at www.atchleyfuneralhome.com
