He was employed by Blalock Construction Company for many years and most recently owned his own excavation company. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Mr. Abbott was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Mary Abbott; brothers, Carroll, Winfred and Gene Abbott; sister, Ella Faye Williams.
