He was a Deacon at Knob Creek Baptist Church. He was a Navy Veteran of World War II. He was employed by Standard Knitting Mill for 35 years. He was preceded in death by his wife, Retha Davis McMahan, sisters, Georgia Davis, Mae Cutshaw, Mary Troutman, and parents James Otha and Laura McMahan. Survivors: Daughters and Sons-in-law: Dorothy and Mack Galyon, Evelyn and Larry Tittsworth, Pauline and Doug Jett Ten Grandchildren Fifteen Great Grandchildren One Great-Great Grandchildren Funeral service 7 PM Thursday in the West Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home with Rev. Terry Parton and Rev. W.A. Galyon officiating. Interment 11AM Friday in Knob Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends 5-7 PM Thursday at Atchley Funeral Home, Sevierville.
