(December 7, 1932 - October 30, 2008) Kenneth E. “Speedy” Boling Sr., a devoted husband, father grandfather, and a great-grandfather, died Thursday, October 30, 2008 after fighting a long and hard battle. His love of his family was his inspiration. He was of the Baptist faith and a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the US Air Force. He was a race car driver, owner, and avid fan. He was a mechanic for all of his life until he retired. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Mabel Boling; brother, L.H.; sisters, Eula and Louise; and special nephew, Danny. He is survived by his loving wife, Wilda of 54 years; daughter, Vici; sons, Kenneth “Buster” and wife, Judy, Randy and wife, Kim, Brian and wife, Rhonda; 10 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren; brother, Bill and son Ray; sister, Mary; several nieces and nephews. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends. Funeral service will be held 8:00 PM Sunday, November 2, 2008 at Miller Funeral Home, Cedar Chapel, Rev. Rex Everett and Rev. Tom Hatley officiating. The interment will be held at 2:00 PM Monday at Grandview Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Sunday at Miller Funeral Home, Maryville.
