HUSKEY, ELIZABETH SUSAN CLIFT - born January 3, 1923, passed away Monday, April 2, 2001. "Libby" was a long time, active member of Meridian Baptist Church. She was in the Homemaker's Sunday School Class. She was raised in the Carter Community and attended Carson-Newman College. Libby retired from Robert Shaw Industries and until recently had remained active in the Retiree's Club, where she was program chairperson. She was also an active community volunteer, committing many hours to Contact of Knoxville and FISH. Libby is preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Husky; parents, Ollie and Chollie Clift; brothers, John and Bob Clift. She is survived by sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary Ellen and Wendell Cox, and Betty and Arthur Moreland, and sister-in-law, Billie Clift; step son and daughter-in-law, Fred and Sandra Huskey and their son Stephen and daughter Jill, special friends, Kaye and Tom Greene and their family, and several special nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Wednesday, April 4, 2001, from 6-8 p.m. at McCarty's Evergreen Chapel, 7426 Asheville Highway, with the service to follow at 8 p.m. There will be a graveside service at the Chilhowee Cemetery Thursday, April 5, 2001, 10 a.m. Serving as Pallbearers: Eric Greene, Tom Greene, John H. Clift Jr., Jimmy Kyle Davis, George Lewis, Mark Meredith, Wayne Atkins, Matthew Clift, and Judd Davis. Funeral services will be conducted by Rev. Dana Fachman. McCarty Evergreen Chapel, 7426 Asheville Highway, Knoxville, in charge of arrangements.
