Vera Mae Ogle, 79, of Gatlinburg went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 27, 2017. She was born at the family home in Jones Cove on April 24, 1938. Vera received her Bachelor’s Degree from Lincoln Memorial University, her Master’s Degree from ETSU, and her Educational Specialist Degree from UT. She enjoyed traveling and trying new things, but the mountains and heritage of East Tennessee always held a special place in her heart. She was also an avid fan of the UT Volunteers and the Atlanta Braves. Vera loved spending time with her sisters and her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, W.C. and Josie Harrell; husband, Ben C. Ogle; brothers, Scott, Bob, Joe, and Ray Harrell; sisters, Irene Harrell, Gladys Holifield, and Juanita Bradley.
