Charles Rellie Ramsey, age 94, of Pigeon Forge, and a veteran of World War II departed this life Saturday, August 18, 2012, at Sevier County Health Care Center. He was a member of Hurst Chapel Baptist Church. Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Effrin and Laura Ramsey, sisters, Maisy Ramsey, Bertha Lethco and Refie Ogle, brothers, Robert and Allen Ramsey, wife Lucille Ramsey, son Glenn Ramsey, all of Pigeon Forge. Survivors: daughter, Dale Ramsey, of Maryville; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He leaves behind a large family of nieces and nephews and in-laws as well as his church family. A beloved man of God, he was a father, uncle and papaw to all who knew and loved him. Donations may be made in lieu of flowers to assist the family to Atchley Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 1-3 p.m. Tuesday with service to follow at 3 p.m. in the East Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home with Rev. Ronnie Allen and Rev. Jeff Blalock officiating. Family and friends will meet 11 a.m. Wednesday at Hurst Chapel Cemetery for graveside service and interment. http://www.atchleyfuneralhome.com

Charles Rellie Ramsey, age 94 of Pigeon Forge and a veteran of World War II departed this life Saturday August 18, 2012 at Sevier County Health Care Center.
He was a member of Hurst Chapel Baptist Church. Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Epharim and Laura Ramsey, sisters, Maize Ramsey, Bertha Lethco and Repha Ogle, brothers, Robert and Allen Ramsey, wife Lucille Ramsey, son Glenn Ramsey, all of Pigeon Forge.
