Joseph “Wayne” Boney passed away September 8, 2008 at St. Mary’s Medical Center. He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Boney and his mother Edna Boney. He was a member of Mt. View Baptist Church and was retired from Circuit City. He served his country in the Navy during the Vietnam War and loved and cherished his family and his many friends at Bi Lo. He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Marlene Boney; daughter Edana Boney, special friends Jason and Tia, daughter and son-in-law Lisa and Chris Knight. Two grandchildren Kaitlyn and Jacob Knight; mother-in-law Una Kate Ogle; brother and sisters-in law Earl Ray and Mary Lou Ogle; several nieces and nephews. Special friends Robert and Sandy Quillin. Family will receive friends Wednesday, September 10, 2008 from 5 to 7 P.M. at Highland South Memorial Park Chapel with the funeral service to follow at 7 P.M. with Rev. Jack Hitch officiating and eulogy by Robert Quillin. Entombment services with full military honors will be Thursday, September 11, 2008 at 11 A.M. in Highland South Memorial Park.
