Carl Raymond Parton, 67, of Dandridge passed away Thursday, November 14, 2002 at his residence.
Mr. Parton was preceded in death by his parents, George and Mary Maples Parton; brother, Junior Parton; sister, Burgie Parton.
Carl is survived by his wife, Flossie Teaster Parton; his children, Roy Parton and wife Frances, Glenn Parton, Gerald Parton, Larry Parton and wife Frances, Herbert Parton and wife Jewel, Susie Brooks and husband David, Daniel Parton and wife Melissa, Leon Parton and wife Jenny; 23 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; brother, Charles Parton and wife Mary; sister, Dorothy Walker; step-children James Russel and wife Cheryl and Mary Goodwin. Besides the immediate family members, many other relatives and a host of good friends that he has encountered while on this earth will miss Carl.
Service will be 2:30 p.m. Sunday, November 17 at Covemont Baptist Church with Rev. Danny Sutton and Rev. Jacob Christman officiating. Interment will follow the service at Headricks Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m. Saturday, November 16 at Rawlings Funeral Home.
