She was an author and a pianist. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, William Carl Cooper; parents, Elmer and Elizabeth Williams Ownby; brothers, Herman and Elmer Jr.; sisters, Lucille Ownby, Betty Hammontree, and Irene Ownby. She is survived by her son, Jim Cooper of Maryville; daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn and Van Bubel of Greenback; daughter-in-law and husband, Lucinda and G.R. Coffey of Arkansas; grandchildren, Mark Bubel of California, Bud and Wife Tracey Cooper of Alcoa, David Cooper of Maryville, Ginger Campo of Arizona, and Travis Cooper of Maryville; great-grandchildren, Victoria and Kevin Cooper, Kyle and Jacob Bubel, Anthony, Deanna and Ally Campo, Lucas Cooper; sisters, Dot Cooke and husband, Oneal of Friendsville, Eileen Rogers and husband, Harvey of Maryville, Marge Ownby of Washington State; sisters-in-law, Velma Ownby of Greenback, Maxine Hester of Michigan, Wanda Henderson and husband, Troy of Maryville, Polly Waters and husband, Fred of Greenback, and Ocie Cooper of Maryville. Our thanks and gratitude of Quality Care Assisted Living, where she resided for three and one half years prior to moving to Asbury Place. Our thanks to them for their care and kindness to our family. Graveside service and interment will be held at 4:30 PM Friday, August 1, 2008 at Prospect Cemetery, Mr. Oneal Cooke officiating.
