July 12, 1934 - December 15, 2015 Resided in Sevierville, TN Juanita "Wanda" Williams went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 15th, 2015. She passed peacefully surrounded by her family at UT Medical Center after a long struggle with much illness. She was born to Columbus and Rachel Hale on July 12th, 1934. She married in 1954 to Oliver Ray Williams and together raised 4 children. They had 7 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren. Sons and daughter-in-laws: Kenneth and Freda Williams, Mike and Kelly Williams. Daughters: Pat Harper and Gail Owen. Grandchildren: Christy Finchum, Melissa Roach, Justin Williams, Joshua Williams, April Williams McNutt, John Michael Williams, and Brittni Jones. Great-grandchildren: Lindsey Finchum, Hallie Williams, Ethan Williams, Jaden Williams, Juliet Williams, Christian McNutt, and Taylor McNutt. Sister: Velma Green, and brother: June Hale. She was preceded in death by several brothers. A lifelong resident of Sevier County and a member of McMahan Baptist Church, Wanda stood by her husband's side for 61 years of marriage and 53 years of ministry. She loved to cook, garden, sew, and spread God's word. The true definition of an angel on earth, Wanda touched many lives in her 81 years shared with us. The family wishes to extend their sincere gratitude for the out-pouring of prayers, love, and support from the church family, friends, and especially the staff at UT Medical Center. The family will receive friends 5-7 PM Thursday with funeral service to follow at 7 PM in the West Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home. Pastors Steve Rhinehart, Sonny Rhinehart and Robert Williamson will officiate. Her procession to the graveside service with leave Atchley Funeral Home in Sevierville Friday December 18th, 2015 at 10:30 am, with the service set to begin at 11 am at Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
