Resided in Sevierville, TN
Velma S. Green, age 83, of Sevierville, passed away Wednesday, February 24, 2016. Velma loved her garden and her dogs. She was the sweetest woman you could ever know and she helped everyone. Her family was most important to her.
She was preceded in death by her father, James Columbus Hale, mother, Rachel Renee Hale, daughter, Joann Hale, granddaughter, Tayah Clabo, brothers, Hubert Hale, Marion Hale, C.D. Hale, Jim Hale, Leonard Regan, Bob Hale; sister-in-law, Ollie Hale; and sister, Wanda Williams.
Survivors:
Husband: David Edward "Butch" Green
Son and daughter-in-law: Junior and Gina Hale
Grandchildren: Travis and Dawn Clabo, David and Shannon Hale, Joann (Hale) Barnett and Jeremy Barnett
Great-grandchildren: Mikaela, Katelynn, Destaney, Chloe, Jason, and Briana
Brothers: June Hale
Sisters-in-law: Edna Harold and Helen Wolf
Brother-in-law: Bobby D. Green and wife Christina and Rev. Ray Williams
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Pets Without Parents, 1408 Old Newport Highway, Sevierville, TN 37876.
The family will receive friends 3-5 PM Saturday with a funeral service to follow at 5 PM in the West Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home with Rev. Ray Williams officiating. Interment 2 PM Sunday in Mattox Cemetery.
