Ellis “Squire” Ownby, age 70 of Sevierville, passed away Thursday, June 18, 2009. Mr. Ownby was a master craftsman and was retired from Pigeon Forge Pottery after 48 years. He was member of Walden’s Creek Missionary Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents Ernest and Ida Huskey Ownby; brothers Conley, Eul and Jack Ownby; sister Ellen Ownby.

Son and daughter-in-law: Steven and Anna Ownby of Houston, TX
Daughter and son-in-law: Ellen and Don Lamkey of Seymour, TN

Funeral service 2 PM Sunday at Waldens Creek Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Edward King and Rev. Thomas Clay officiating. Interment will follow in Elkmont Jake’s Creek Cemetery.
