Mr. Ownby was a master craftsman and was retired from Pigeon Forge Pottery after 48 years. He was member of Walden’s Creek Missionary Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents Ernest and Ida Huskey Ownby; brothers Conley, Eul and Jack Ownby; sister Ellen Ownby. Survivors: Wife: Betty Kaye Ownby Son and daughter-in-law: Steven and Anna Ownby of Houston, TX Daughter and son-in-law: Ellen and Don Lamkey of Seymour, TN Beloved granddaughters: Caroline Ida and Victoria Rose Lamkey Brothers and sisters-in-law: Audley and Ray Ownby of Sevierville, TN, S.L. and Louise Ownby of Cashmere, WA Sisters: Alene Moore of Walland, TN, Ann Ownby of Sevierville, TN Special friend: Oris Waters, Jr. In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to Walden’s Creek Missionary Baptist Church, Building Fund, c/o Janice Shults, 2819 North Clear Fork Road, Sevierville, TN, 37862.
