Emma Pauline "Polly" Smelcher, 97 of Sevierville, passed away at her home and went to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 18, 2016. She was of the Baptist faith and a life-long member of First Baptist Church, Sevierville.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Roy "PeeWee" Smelcher; parents, Andrew J. and Mary Jane Rogers Reagan; several brothers and one sister.
She is survived by her son, Ronnie Smelcer and wife Sherry; grandsons, Josh and Alicia, Scott; great-grandchildren, Haley, Tanner and Brealan; special friends and neighbors, Glenda and Hurdle Harris, Rowena McFalls, Jack and Elizabeth Denton, Hwy 66 Market Place, Bill and Carol Yett and numerous others.
The family wishes to extend a special "thank you" to Kathy Henry, Michelle Thornton, Stephanie DeBord, and Paula Whittaker; as well as to the UT Hospice nurses, assistants, counselor and chaplain for their help, support and loving care given to Emma and her family.
Family and friends will meet 2 PM Wednesday in Knob Creek Cemetery for graveside service and interment with Rev. Jerry Hyder officiating. The family will receive friends 5-7 PM Tuesday at Atchley Funeral Home, Sevierville.
