Gooding Doris Hobdey 90, a resident of Gooding, died Thursday, Feb. 19, 2004, at the Magic Valley Manor Assisted Living center in Wendell. Doris was born on Nov. 10, 1913, in Pullman, Wash., to Edward and Elizabeth Reagan. At the age of 5 the family moved to Manard. She attended grade school at Manard and graduated from Fairfield High School. On Feb. 2, 1934, Doris married Willie Hobdey . They operated the original Corral Store before moving to the ranch on Corral Creek. Years later they purchased the Depot Building, where they moved the store. In 1955 they moved to Fairfield where they owned and operated the Club Cigar. In 1972 Doris retired from the rural mail route at Corral after 32 years of service. In 1974 they moved to Gooding. Doris is survived by her daughter, Sheila Carson; her son, Casey Valeria Hobdey ; four grandchildren; one stepgrandson; three great-grandchildren; and two step-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband and one granddaughter. At Doris ' request no public funeral service will be held.
