Phillips, 78 of Linden, MI, died Saturday, September 28, 2002 at St. Joseph Mercy Livingston Hospital in Howell, MI. Mrs. Phillips was born October 25, 1923 in Dandridge, TN. She was the daughter of Henry W. and Mary (McCarter) Moore. Cora was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas C. Phillips on June 3, 1994; sons, Jessie James and Carol James. She is survived by her children, David E. Phillips of Linden, MI and Zella M. (Christopher) Reece of Webberville, MI. Service will be 8:00 p.m. Friday, October 4 at Rawlings Funeral Chapel with Rev. Ben Whitted officiating. Interment will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 5 at Phillips Cemetey (Open Door Church) in Newport, TN. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m. Friday, October 4 at Rawlings Funeral Home.
