WHALEY, KENNETH W. - age 78, of Knoxville, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 11, 2011. He was a member of Sevier Heights Baptist Church and was currently an inactive deacon. Kenneth retired from Norfolk Southern Railroad with 43 years of service. He was preceded in death by his parents, Knaffl and Zaley Whaley; and one brother, Roy Whaley. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 58 years, Lois Rose Whaley; sister, Ann Romines and husband, Harry; sister-in-law, Anna Whaley; sister-in-law, Pat Brown and husband, Ted; several nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Berry Funeral Home with funeral services to follow at 7:00 p.m., Rev. Lee Gibson and Rev. Don Wilson officiating. Family and friends will meet at Sherwood Memorial Gardens on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. for the entombment. Honorary pallbearers will be nieces and nephews.
