Buford L. Whaley, 63, of Louisville, formerly of Sevierville, died at home on Thursday, Nov. 13, 2003.He served in the U.S. Army and was of the Baptist faith.He was preceded in death by his parents, Lyhue and Bertha Whaley; and brother, Burl Whaley.Survivors include his loving wife and caregiver, Pat Whaley; daughter and son-in-law, Melanie and John Cherry; daughter, Cindy Whaley; granddaughter, Alex Cherry; brothers and sisters-in-law, Larry and Donna Whaley, Oneal and Carolyn Whaley, Johnny and Brenda Whaley, and Bobby and Shannon Whaley; sisters and brothers-in-law, June and Sid Musick, and Judy and Ernie Clabo; sister, Wilma Hale; mother of his daughters, Clara Frazier; and several nieces and nephews.Family and friends will meet at 3:30 p.m. Sunday at Grandview Cemetery for graveside services and interment. The Rev. Bill White will officiate and military honors will be provided by Volunteer State Veterans Honor Guard.Friends may call at their convenience anytime after 2 p.m. Sunday until 2:30 p.m. at Miller Funeral Home in Maryville.
