BETH H. WHALEY, age 68, of Dandridge, TN went to be with ?her Jesus? on October 27, 2009. She was a member of Swannsylvania Baptist Church and loved her church family. While in good health, she was an avid worker in the Food Pantry, served on the Fellowship Committee, Bereavement Committee, and attended WMU. She also played the piano at Swannsylvania Baptist Church. She loved the Lord and had a strong prayer life. Her Christian faith led her to visit the ill and less fortunate, and she enjoyed her mission work. Beth made a great impact on many lives through her Christian faith and she will be greatly missed. She no longer suffers, and has now joined her Father in Heaven. Beth was previously active in the Democratic Party, and she served on the Election Commission from 1994-2008. She was preceded in death by her husband, J. Frank Whaley; and her parents, Shields and Genevieve Chrisman. She is survived by her two daughters, Robin Hogan and Sheila Watts; brother, Dale Chrisman (Jan Chrisman); and two grandsons, Jonathan and Jake Watts, the loves of her life. She had a special niece, Jessi Chrisman Underwood (Matthew Underwood). She is also survived by her step-son, Gary Whaley (Peggy Whaley); grandchildren, Scott Whaley (Kari Whaley), and Melissa Kirk (Michael Kirk); great-grandchildren, Franklyn Whaley, Kara and Katlin Kirk; several aunts, uncles and cousins; and a close family friend, Sib Fain. She will be sadly missed by her pet chihuahua, Peanut, who stayed loyally by her side. The family will receive friends at Swannsylvania Baptist Church on Thursday, October 29, 2009 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., with the funeral service to immediately follow at 8:00 p.m. Graveside interment service will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, October 30, 2009 at Swannsylvania Baptist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Swannyslvania Food Pantry, c/0 Swannsylvania Baptist Church, 921 Swannsylvania Road, Dandridge, TN 37725.
