Grace Ethel Whaley Pierce, age 89, of Lenoir City went to be with the Lord on Wednesday morning, November 16, 2011. Grace was a member of Cornerstone Church of God. She was retired from Yale and Towne. She was an encourager to her family and friends. Grace was preceded in death by her husband, R C Pierce. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Susan Pierce of Lenoir City; grandchildren, Joseph Pierce and wife, Tonya of Lenoir City, Susan Horne and husband, Brad of Knoxville; great grandchildren, Austin and Addison Pierce, Madeline and Reagan Horne; sister, Mildred Gibson of Sevierville; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 2 to 3:45 p.m. on Saturday followed by a Celebration of Life at 4 p.m. at Cornerstone Church of God with Pastor Steve McCullar officiating. Family and friends will gather at 3 p.m. Sunday at Lake View Cemetery for graveside services. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Cornerstone Church of God Bldg.
