LONG, LITHA E. - age 81 of Strawberry Plains, passed away Tuesday night, October 19, 2010, at the family home. She was a member of Circle Assembly of God. Preceded in death by: husband, Elmer Long; son, Robert Long; and grandson, Arron Robert Long; several brothers and sisters. Survivors: daughters and sons-in-law, Margaret and John Humerick, Brenda and Bill Hancock, Polly and Arnold Garner all of Knoxville; 8 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Vicki Long Lucterhead; several brothers and sisters; Funeral service 8:00 p.m. Thursday, October 21, 2010 at the Circle Assembly of God, 8529 Rutledge Pike, with the Rev. John Lawson officiating. Interment 1:00 p.m. Friday at Mt. Olive Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. prior to the service. Funeral arrangements by McCarty Funeral Directors and Cremation Services, 607 Wall Street, Sevierville, TN 774-2950.
