He was a member and former deacon of Cartertown Baptist Church, and was retired after 27 years of service from the city of Gatlinburg. He was a veteran of the United States Army and served as a tank commander during World War II and the Korean War, and was a member of American Legion Post #202. Mr. Marine was preceded in death by his wife Clara Yvonne Marine; parents Earl and Zelma Marine; brothers Dean and Kenneth Marine and sister Dorothy Marine Adkins. Survivors: Sons and daughters-in-law: Scott and Norma Marine, Robert and Angela Marine Grandchildren: Brian Marine, Kimberly Derosia, Candy Williams, Amanda Caton and Rebecca Boruff 7 Great-grandchildren Sisters-in-law and brother-in-law: Doris Marine, Betty Marine, and Jeanette Williams, Ted and Dottie Newman Several nieces and nephews Funeral service 7 PM Monday in the West Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home with Rev.
