Carl Dockery, 77, of Chestnut Hill, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, September 11, 2002, at his residence. He was a farmer and a Baptist by faith.
Three infant children, parents, John and Florie (Ivey) Dockery, and two brothers preceded him in death.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Ebbie (Romines) Dockery; sons, Clettes Dockery and his wife, Lois Byrd, Clifton Dockery, and Ledford Dockery, all of Chestnut Hill; sisters, Alma Batson and her husband, Roosevelt, of Chestnut Hill and Rosie Tarwater, of Sevierville; brothers, Wesley Dockery and his wife, Lena, of Pigeon Forge; grandchildren, Lori Dockery and Christopher Dockery, both of Chestnut Hill; one great-grandson, Ethan Dockery, of Chestnut Hill; and aunts, Georgie Byrd, of Sevierville and Jessie Thomas, of Oklahoma. Mr. Dockery will also be missed by several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
Funeral service will be Friday, September 13, 2002, at 8 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Williams officiating.
Graveside service will be Saturday, September 14, 2002, at 11 a.m. at Birchfield Memorial.
The family will receive friends Friday evening, September 13, 2002, from 6 to 8 p.m. prior to the service.
Brown Funeral Home has been honored to provide the final arrangements for Mr. Carl Dockery.
