William Al Sutton age 84 of Newport went to be with his Lord on February 8, 2006 at his residence. He was a member of Hill Top Baptist church and a laborer by trade at Bennington Pines. William was preceded in death by his parents, Lawson and Lila Barnes Sutton; one son, William A. Kirkpatrick; one daughter, Mildred Blazer and numerous brothers and sisters. Mr. Sutton is survived by his wife, Mary Kirkpatrick Sutton of Newport; nine children, Walter and Gail Sutton of Newport, Betty and Billy Freshour of Parrottsville, Harold and Frances Sutton, Darlene Worex, Wallace, Wallene and Sandy Trentham, Lonnie and Helen Sutton, Ronnie Sutton, Arlene and Robert Floyd and Glenda and Ronnie James all of Newport. He is also survived by two sisters, Nora Williams and Margaret Dunn both of Newport and one brother and sister-in-law, Charlie and Lola Sutton of Cosby. William will also be missed by a special granddaughter, Amber Trentham; 15 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Friday February 10, 2006 from 6-8 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Saturday February 11, 2006 at 2 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Clay Sutton and Rev. Andy Ball officiating. Interment will follow at Union Cemetery. Brown Funeral Home has been honored to provide the final arrangements for Mr. William A. Sutton.
