Helen Arline (Lena) McAndrew Styles, age 98, of 2449 Dickey Road, Dandridge, passed away at Life Care Center of Jefferson City on Saturday morning, September 7, 2002. She was born January 10, 1904, in the Chestnut Hill Community to the union of Margaret Boyd McAndrew from Santa Anna, Texas and John L. McAndrew, of Jefferson County. She was a long-time active member of the Chestnut Hill United Methodist Church and was deeply devoted to her family. In 1979 she retired from Bush Bros. & Company after twenty-five years of service. Preceding her in death are her parents; sisters: Hortense Pressley, Blanche Smith, and Georgia Kirby; brother, Joseph C. McAndrew; former husband, Orie Styles; and son-in-law, Jack McGhee. Survivors are: daughters, Lois (Hollis) Loope, of Knoxville and Mary Ruth McGhee, of Dandridge; grandchildren, Dr. David (Charlene) Loope, of Columbia, SC, Ruth Ann (Jerry) Lewis, of Dandridge, Brent McGhee, of Newport, and Barry McGhee, of Dandridge; great-grandchildren, Alex Loope, of Columbia, SC and Madelyn Lewis, of Dandridge; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be at Manes Funeral Home, Newport, on Monday, September 9, from 5 to 7 p.m. The funeral service will immediately follow with Dr. Ron Gough officiating. Interment will be on Tuesday, September 10 at 10 a.m. in the Hills Union Cemetery, Dandridge. Manes Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
