Glenn R. Holt (Steve), age 87, of Bybee, passed away July 31, 2001, at Cocke County Baptist Hospital. Mr. Holt was a devoted member of Liberty Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Bybee, TN. He was a Sunday School teacher for several years. He retired from Cocke County Highway Department after many years. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Johnson Holt; parents Dellie and Julia Holt; sister, Lucille Reed, of White Pine; brothers, Taft Holt, Robert Holt, Ernest Holt and Burton Holt. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Blanche and Edwin Holt, of Bybee, TN; granddaughter, Melissa and husband, Phil Owens, of Newport, TN; grandson, Rodney Holt and his wife, Sherri, of Cedar Lake, IN; great-grandson, Derrick Glenn Raines, of Bybee, TN; sisters, Essie Mae Holt, of Newport, TN, Zola Reed, of Bybee, TN; brothers, Aubrey Holt, of Bybee, TN, Landon Holt, of New Jersey; several nephews, nieces and a host of friends. The funeral will be held 2 p.m., Friday, at Liberty Hill Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Bobby Samples officiating, with burial in Liberty Hill Cemetery.
