McCarrell, Gordon Eugene, 87, of Knoxville, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 13, 2014 at UT Hospital. He was a charter member and Deacon of Friendly Chapel Baptist Church and retired from Robert Shaw Controls. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gordon and Gertrude McCarrell; and brother, Lenard (Blackie) McCarrell. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Blanche (Watson) McCarrell; sons, Randy McCarrell and Ron McCarrell; grandchildren, Randall (Tiffany) McCarrell, Jaime (Aaron) Craig, Chad McCarrell and Daniel McCarrell; great-grandchildren, Braden, Addie and Cooper McCarrell, Callen, Phillip, and Erin Craig, and Mason McCarrell; brother and sister-in-law J.C. and Marilyn McCarrell, and several nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 16, 2014 from 5:00-7:00pm at Friendly Chapel Baptist Church. A service will follow at 7:00pm with Rev. Jerry Crye and Rev. Bob Holbrook officiating. Family and friends will meet on Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at East Tennessee Veterans Cemetery for a 9:30am graveside service. Condolences may be offered at www.berryfuneralhome.com.
