She was the last surviving child of Jackson L. and Margaret Ellen Tinker Watson. Mrs. Brashear was a nurse at St. Mary’s Medical Center before marrying Dr. Robert Brashear. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Robert Brashear, co-founder of Knoxville Orthopedic Clinic; brother, Oscar Watson, infant brother Murrel Watson; sisters, Hazel Hale, Macy Welch, and Laura Garrett. She is survived by sister-in-law Inez Watson; several nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews; great-great nieces and nephews; 2 great-great-great nieces and cousins; special friends John, Anne, and David Parks; Eleanor Guthrie and Janelle Jones. Special thanks to Drs. Angela Walters and Barry Nash, nurse Dee Dee for their care and kindness, and Caris Hospice, sitters Barbara and Sheila.
