Obituary
Karen A. Brackins, age 53, of Dandridge, passed away Sunday, June 28, 2015 after a lengthy battle with cancer. She was a motorcycle enthusiast and enjoyed riding. Karen and her husband, Jimmie, bred dogs for years. She was very nurturing especially with the animals she adopted and raised and with her friends who were her family. She was a very special woman and a true animal lover. Karen cherished all her children and the memories they shared will live on in their hearts.
She was preceded in death by her father, Norman Hutchinson; and her mother, Noreene Weber.
Karen is survived by her loving husband, Jimmie T. Brackins; sons, Jimmie and his wife, Leisa, Mike and his wife, Jennie, and David Brackins; daughters, Sandy and her husband, Karl Bush, Dawn Marie Brackins, Katie Brackins, Kasara and her husband, Geoff, and Kate; her brother, Brian Hutchinson; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a host of loving extended family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to American German Shepherd Rescue Association, 4605 Mt. Carmel Road, Heath Springs, SC 29058, or to the U.T. Cancer Institute Campaign for Hope Gift Fund, 2121 Medical Center Way, Suite 110, Knoxville, TN 37920.
