Roy D. Myers age 91 of Pigeon Forge, TN. went home to be with his Lord on March 3, 2016 at Leconte Medical Center in Sevierville.
Roy was a member of Banner Baptist Church and served in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Argonne ship in the South Pacific during WW II. and retired from The Great Smoky Mountain National Park.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James Walter and Hannah England Myers; wife, Irene Betty Myers; granddaughter, Tonya Bales; sisters, Maude Lawson, Siller King and Emily Myers.
Survivors include his daughters, Toni Huskey and Brenda Rapp and husband Tom; Brother Crayton; Granddaughter, Shannon bales and husband, Gregg, Grandsons, Chris Henry and David Hair and wife, Courtney; great grandson, Tory Henry and Mark Hair; many special friends, neighbors and church family.
Services are planned for 3:00 P.M. Sunday, March 6, 2016 at Rawlings Funeral Home in Sevierville
Interment will follow the service in Shiloh Cemetery in Pigeon Forge, TN.
Local Veteran Post 104 of Sevierville will perform military honors
The family will receive friends 2:00-3:00 P.M. Sunday prior to the service.
