Resided in Sevierville, TN
Blaine Brackins, age 72 of Sevierville, passed away Tuesday, March 31, 2015. He was a man of great character. Blaine was a very caring and humble husband, father, brother, grandfather and friend. He proudly served in the United States Army and was a Vietnam Veteran. Blaine was employed with the Sevier County School System for many years until his retirement from the Maintenance Department. Blaine was passionate about farming and could often be found riding his tractor with his dog, Little Man, in the basket he made just for him. His family and his children, whom he affectionately called his "baby-girls" were his world. There will always be a tender place in his heart for his granddaughter and pride and joy, Lindsay, who will always be a "Pappy's Girl". Blaine was a man of few words, but when he did speak it was with wisdom, affection and tender humor. His memory will be in our hearts for eternity.
He was preceded in death by his son, Freddie Blaine Brackins; brothers, Edward and David Brackins; sisters, Louise Brackins and Wanda Gail Brackins; brothers-in-law, Rex Bohanan, Frank and Buna Howard, Claughton Dockery, and Winfred Dockery; sisters-in-law, Charlotte and Lige Dellinger.
