Frank Brackins, age 85 of Pigeon Forge, went home to be with his Heavenly Father on Sunday, October 27, 2013. He was a founding charter member of Conner Heights Baptist Church and a loyal supporter of the Pigeon Forge Fire Department. Mr. Brackins was retired. Over the years, he worked at the M and O Tea Room, A.J. King Lumber Co., and Dogwood Motel. He was an avid gardener and a patron of Hardee's on Cate Road, where everyone knew him as "Papaw".
He was preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Betty Brackins; son, Rodger Brackins; grandson, Alex Ogle, and great-grandson, Scottie Richardson; parents, W.J. and Sarah; brothers, Estel, Ernest, Sherrell, J.B. and Jack; sisters, Louise Webb and Evelyn Brackins.

Sons and daughters-in-law: Larry and Joyce Brackins, John and Evelyn Brackins, Penny Brackins
Daughter and son-in-law: Chris and Rodger Ogle
Grandchildren: Denise Dellinger and friend Ray Boyd, Arthur Brackins, Lisa (Jamie) Rasnake, Joe (Misty) Brackins, Amanda (Jayson) Parton, Johnny (Amanda) Yoakum, and Shannon (Mike) Phipps

The family would like to extend their gratitude to the Covenant Hospice Staff, especially Julie, Rita, Candace and Ernie, along with several others that helped care for dad during his last three and a half months.
Funeral service 2 PM Wednesday, October 30, 2013 at Conner Heights Baptist Church with Rev. Jonathan Hatcher and Rev. Jack Ogle officiating. Interment will follow in Huskey Grove Cemetery.
