J.B. Brackins, age 80 of Sevierville, went to be with the Lord Monday, December 5, 2005. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the 3rd Army. He was a founder and life time member of Sevier County Rescue Squad. He was a member of McMahan Baptist Church.
Mr. Brackins was preceded in death by parents Will and Sarah Brackins; sister Louise Huskey; brothers, Jack, Ernest and Sherril Brackins.

Daughters and sons-in-law: Kathy and Carl Flynn, Janie and Robert Newcomb

Funeral service 2 PM Thursday at McMahan Baptist Church with Rev. Ray Williams and Rev. Jerry Hyder officiating. Interment will follow in Smoky Mountain Memory Gardens with Rev. Randy Davis officiating.
Pallbearers will be Ron Newcomb, John Newcomb, Thomas Brackins, Lucas Brackins, Robert Newcomb, and Carl Flynn. Honorary pallbearers will be Donald Williams, Ted Stoffle, Jr., Rick Henry, Arnold Whaley, and Coy Adams. Military honors provided by American Legion Post #104.
