ARWOOD, LOMA COOK - age 90, of Sevierville, went to be with the Lord on Friday, August 6, 1999, at her home in the Gist's Creek Community. Loma was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church and attended Gist Creek Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnie L. Arwood; her parents, J.W. (Jim) and Sarah Cook; sisters, Bessie Gray and Jettie Bohanan; brother, Tom Cook; and several half-sisters and brothers. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, James Dexter and Mary Arwood; daughters and sons-in-law, Mildred and Ashley Lunsford, Velma Maples, Wilma and Ernest Rogers, Ruby and Herman Davis, Edith Wilson, Lena Reagan, all of Sevierville and Linda and Warren Hatcher of Benton, Tenn.; 26 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; plus several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held 7:30 p.m. Sunday, August 8, 1999, at Rawlings Funeral Home in Sevierville, with the Rev. W.A. Galyon, Rev. Troy Cody, Rev. Bill Stephens, and Rev. Andy Ball officiating. Interment will be 10 a.m. Monday, August 9, 1999, at Gist's Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-7:30 p.m. Sunday, August 8, 1999, at Rawlings Funeral Home.
