(February 26, 1919 - January 26, 2009) Sallie “Dot” Lorina Correll, age 89, of Maryville, went home to be with the Lord after a long battle with dementia, Monday, January 26, 2009 at her home. She was a member of Chilhowee Primitive Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Burl G. Correll; parents, Arch and “Ma” Ellen Dunn; and her 2 brothers and 15 sisters; infant son, Edward Correll; daughters, Zelpha Clark and Cloteal Correll; and grandchildren, Michael Dupes, Vickie Correll Hill, and Leighann Ojeda. She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Arthel and Shirley Correll of Cummings, Georgia and William “Bill” and Tracey Correll of Maryville; daughters and sons-in-law, Syretha Clabo of Greenback, Ortha and Herbert “Hub” Dupes of Vonore, and Guenith and Robert Dixon of Maryville; 14 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held 8:00 PM Tuesday, January 27, 2009 at Miller Funeral Home, Magnolia Chapel, with Rev. Tyson Matoy and Rev. Jeff Patton officiating. Interment service will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday at Chilhowee Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Tuesday at Miller Funeral Home, Maryville.
